When the developers have made “Formats” available in Link it’s possible for Link users to do the implementation of new partners on their own - if the partner agrees in one of the available formats.
To understand terms like formats, partners, distributions etc. in Link it can be a good idea to read this discription: Link til beskrivelse
Process at onboarding a partner:
Clarify the following with the partner - first step:
Contact persons (for clarifying, setup and test - it might be different people for each task)
Master data on items - It’s a good thing to use standards like GTIN (for items)
Units - do you do business in pieces, cartons, pallets or else?
Locations - Preferable GLN
Send your catalogue of formats you support
Send a guide with documentation and samples
Other things to clarify with the partner:
Transport of documents (FTP, AS2…) + technical info about transport
Document types and direction (E.g. orders in – orderconfirmation, delivery advice, invoice out)
Frequency (e.g. at invoices, stock reports and price catalogues)
Implementation process (setup and test - eventually deadlines)
Setup of partner - Confluence New Partner - brugermanual mangler data groups!
Mandatory information: Name, Partner Type, Identification type and value, data groups
Identification Value is preferably GLN, but can also be CVR or mutually defined values.
Hvornår vil en partner have flere identification?
4. Setup of distribution Distributions Location Testbox er ikke beskrevet i manualen!
You have to define two partners at all distributions. In most cases the one partner is your own company which can be both From and To partner depending on if you receive or send documents.
During the test period the Location is set to TestBox. Then you can test documents without any risk of sending it somewhere... Formulering!
Mandatory information: Document Type, From and To partner, From and to format.
The format is something setup by your developers.
5. Upload of testfile
If you ask your partner to send you a test file you can upload it when the distribution is made
bla bla bla
