This feature enables Link users to search for documents based on specific self-chosen key information.
In support-scenarios it has great value is useful to be able to quickly find a document quickly, so we encourage you to utilize use this feature.
The potential use-cases for this feature are infinite, but here are a few real-life examples from B2B integration scenarios:

If you e.g. set up these tracking fields on the corresponding document types, you would be able to use the tracking fields as search criterias criteria on their corresponding document types , and you would be able to as well as see their values when working with the relevant documents.
Note that tracking fields can operate on line-level - e.g. the example with the Price catalogue catalog above would require the tracking field to search on all items in the cataloguecatalog.
The tracking fields are used on the three tracking pages:
Document search screen To look up a specific documents that contains the tracking field.
Document search result To see the tracking fields for documents displayed in each row. When the tracking field is set up, you can choose if it should be shown in the search result grid or not.
Document detail page : To show all the tracking fields for the document, even the ones that are includong those not configured to appear in the search result grid.
