Tracking Search Result

After having clicked clicking the 'Search' button, you will now be presented with a data grid containing a list of documents matching the filters you specified earlier. You may sort and/or group the search result to make it easier for you to work with. We recommend reading the Using data Data grids chapter to ensure that you are familiar with it's possibilities.

You should note that specifically for the Tracking Search Result data grid, you have the option to save your grid configuration for later reuse. These configurations are called 'Views' and you can read more about the topic here: Document search result views.


To see more detail about a document , you can double click it on the data grid, which will take you to the Document search result detail page screen. Note that the  The list will always be split into as many tabs as there are different document types in the search result.

The search result page contains basic information related to each document - remember , but Link can show you much more. Remember to check the column chooser options to see other available columns. This screen offers a lot of different options - we A full explanation of all the document properties that Link stores can be found in the Document detail page section. If you have set up Tracking fields for the relevant document type, these will also be visible on the grid.

The tracking search result screen offers users many different search options. We will go through what each element on the page does starting from the top.

Save Search

Clicking this "Save Search" allows you to save the your current search result for later use. When saving, you will be asked to give the search result a name for referenceto help you find it later

Press 'Ok' to save your search result. 

To find it the "Save Search" option, hover your mouse cursor over the 'Tracking' tab in on menu to the left and then select one of the saved search results to open it on the results page. 

Refresh Data

This will refresh the data grid, which may allow new documents to show up or remove ones that no longer meet the search criteria.

Action Buttons

In the top of the screen you will see different action buttons. These allow you to perform various actions on the currently selected document(s) (they are greyed out if no document is selected). The functionality of each button will be described below.

Show Documents

When clicking this button you will be redirected to the Document search result detail page for the selected document(s) from where you will be able to see detailed information about the document(s).

Resend

You can resend one or more message by choosing one or more rows in the search result and the click on Resend.

There is a walk though all the options under Resend on page Document search result detail under Resend.

Manually Handle

If you press this button, you will mark the selected documents with the ‘Ignored’ status. Nothing further will happen. This is typically used if you don't need the document to be processed anyway.

On hold

This button simply changes the status of the selected document(s) to "On hold". This is convenient when you are in the process of sorting out errors in relation to a failed document, and you no longer want it to appear with status "Failed". E.g. there could be reports or alarms set up in relation to failed documents.

Recreate

Sends a request to the sender system to send the document again. This is useful if you discover that the information in the document is not complete or plain wrong. Note that this button requires a plugin to be implemented - advanced users can read more about how to do this in the Developer - Link section.

Export Files

This button allows you to export the document(s) that you have selected from the list. Note that you can choose to include one or several document stages in your export.

Simply tick the checkboxes corresponding to the desired document stages and click 'Ok' once you're done. 

If you're unfamiliar with the concept of document stages and/or the terms "Interchange", "Message" and "CDM", it is highly recommended to read the Document stages section.

Link will now create a ZIP file containing the documents, which you can then download immediately from your browser. This is very convenient  when looking for errors or if you would like to take a closer look at some document data in a different tool from Link.


Action Buttons

Depending a Link user's permissions, there may be some action buttons available from the tracking search result page. Several of these are identical to the ones on the document detail page. You can read about what you can do with them in the Document action buttons section.

Refresh Data

This will refresh the data grid, which will cause new documents to appear or ones that no longer meet the search criteria to disappear. 


Right-Click Actions

As mentioned in the Using data Data grids section, some data grids have right-click actions available. This is indeed the case for the document search result grid. Remember that some actions are only available when selecting exactly one document. 

Each of these actions will be is explained in detail below.


Show selected document(s)

Click this "show selected documents" to be redirected to the 'Tracking Search Details' page. This has the same functionality as the 'Show Documents' button.


Show document guids for selected document(s)

This will show the guids "GUIDs" (Globally Unique Identifiers) for the selected documents, seperated separated by commas.

Export selected documents

This has the same functionality as the 'Export Files' button . Will and will export all selected documents to your local drive.


Delete selected documents

Will This option will delete all selected documents. A prompt will be displayed before confirmation.to confirm the action before any files are deleted. 

Show distribution

Clicking this This option will redirect you to the 'Distribution Details' page for the selected document. Note that this This action is only available if a single document is selected. 


Show to-partner for selected document

This option will redirect you to the 'Partner Details' page for of the "To" partner. Note that this   This action is only available if a single document is selected. 


Show from-partner for selected document

This option will redirect you to the 'Partner Details' page for of the "From" partner. Note that this  This action is only available if a single document is selected.

In On the Tracking Menu you have the possibility of activating , you can activate an additional filter to filter in each row with the magnifying glass as shown below.Image Removed


This is not set up default, but can be activated from the menu “Settings” / “My profile” / “User specific settings”.
