Transport/Location/Transport location are words for defining how to exchange data with your partner. There are several ways to do this. However SFTP, FTP and AS2 are the most used ones.

In Link you find the transport type Testbox which can be used during the testing phase if you are not ready to send anything to your partner. It’s an internal folder only for testing.

You should clarify the channels for receiving and for sending documents with your partner.

What is SFTP and FTP?

FTP is an abreviation for “File Transfer Protocol” and SFPT means “Secure File Transfer Protocol”. Both are ways to exchange files over the internet. It’s in the words: SFPT is a more secure way of transferring as the data is encrypted which is not the case with FTP.

There are several programs to use for exchanging files with SFTP or FTP. Both parties, you and your partner, have access to a folder on a server where the one party places files via (S)FTP and the other party downloads the files via (S)FTP.

When you exchange documents to your partner the files are uploaded via FTP to a folder on the server where the partner downloads them via FTP. When the files are downloaded they are automaticly moved to another (historical) folder, so that only new files are downloaded next time your partner’s FTP looks into the folder. The other way round when you are the one to receive files from your partner.

Setup of SFTP and FTP

On your company’s FTP server (Link OnPrem):????

Your partner will need your Hostname / IP, Username, Password, directory (folder location)

On Bizbrains' FTP server (Link SaaS): (Er det på samme måde ved

In webinar Link for Users - 20 minutes in the webinar - it’s described how to do this if you are a Link SaaS customer.

You easyly create a new FTP-account on our FTP-server and when doing so, the three needed folders are created:

You will need their Hostname / IP?, Username, Password, directory (folder location)

It can also be agreed that you upload files to your partner’s server and they upload files to your server (named Push/Push where the other setups are named Push/Pull).

AS2

To get a general explanation about AS2 have a look in the User Guide AS2 General Info or go to demo video about setup of AS2: (jeg har spurgt Mai, om den kan lægges ind sammen med de andre kundevideoer.

TIlføje den fil, Paw henviser til i demoen - den til oplysninger om AS2’en.
