Set Secret Id in Cerberus (Available from Link 2.6)

Following are the steps to use secret Id in Cerberus instead of writing cerberus user  password directly in configuration. We will be able to use secret Id. The secret will be created by using Link


  1. Go to webserver where Link website is hosted and open the web.config and find the cerberusConifguration  section

2. Pick adminPassword and ftpAdminPassword  values and create secret from link

3. Replace the password values for adminPassword and ftpAdminPassword  with secret ids generated from Link, in previous step, as shown below
